For refinished floors and new unfinished wood alike. Screen colors are a guide; we put real stain samples on your floor before we finish it.

Refinishing or installation?

Most solid hardwood can be refinished several times, and that costs far less than replacing it. If your floor is past saving, or there's no hardwood there yet, we install new. At the walk-through we tell you honestly which one your floor needs.

Questions we hear a lot

Can my floor be refinished, or does it need replacing?

Most solid hardwood can be sanded and refinished several times. Engineered hardwood depends on how thick the top layer is. At the walk-through we check the boards and tell you which makes sense; if refinishing will do it, that's what we'll recommend.

Do we have to move out while you work?

Usually not, but you'll need to stay off the floors being worked on until the finish cures. We go over the schedule with you before we start, including when you can walk on it and when furniture can go back.

Which wood should I choose for a new floor?

Oak is the most common choice for hardwood floors in the U.S. because it's durable and takes stain well. We can also install maple, hickory, walnut and engineered options, and we'll go over what fits your rooms and budget.

How do I keep my hardwood clean after?

Sweep or vacuum often and use a cleaner made for finished wood floors. Avoid wet mops, steam cleaners and harsh chemicals, since too much moisture can warp the wood. Felt pads under furniture help a lot.

Can you fix floors after a leak or flood?

Yes. We replace damaged boards, blend them into the existing floor, and refinish so the repair doesn't show. We can work with your insurance adjuster or restoration company.

What if something comes up after the job is done?
